Companion Cube Tutorial by Dygee Companion Cube Tutorial by Dygee
Thought it might be fun to do a tutrorial for a passable Companion Cube prop. It's by no means the best tutorial out there, but it's made with pretty everyday items which might be useful to someone.

Wow, that looks awesome. I'm planning to make one of my own, but I'm not too sure how I'm going to put the box together. (I think I'm going to cut 6 pieces out and put them together, but I'm not too sure how) What did you use to make it?

The box itself was just 3 L-shaped pieces of cardboard taped together. Maybe you'll be able to find a perfectly square box instead. Good luck!

Man... you make this seem both easy and quick. BUT I KNOW YOUR BLOOD AND TEARS WENT INTO IT. Pretty detailed walkthrew, and very professional~

It took a lot of time. In retrospect I see a lot of places where it could be improved, but not knowing what I was doing was half the fun!

I think you had just as much fun (or more) designing and making the tutorial as you did the cube.

This is fantastic! I haven't seen any other tutorials, and I'd be more than happy to give this one a go! I greatly appreciate you putting this up, and the time and effort you put into yours.

One suggestion, would be making dimensions for the cut-outs, they look kinda difficult to copy just from a picture.

That would be awesome if you gave it a go! Just a heads up, it took me about 15 hours to make this one.

I decided to put a PDF up for easy access. Here you go! [link]

Wow, that long? I have a break coming up, I'll try to find some spare time. It's possible I'll become obsessed with it though and try to finish it. Again, thank-you so much!
